Eat. Talk. Connect! Campaign
The Carver County Health Partnership is pleased to present the “Eat. Talk. Connect!” Campaign to encourage families to eat at least three meals together each week. "Eat. Talk. Connect!" is a county-wide effort that reaches out to children, families and all adults to strengthen both family and community connections to improve the quality of life of county residents.
Family mealtime is a great chance to connect with one another, and those connections reap many rewards. Research shows that children who eat at least three meals a week together with their families – without the distractions of T.V. – benefit in the following ways:
- Are less likely to smoke, use drugs or alcohol, or engage in sexual activity.
- Do better in school.
- Eat more nutritionally and have fewer problems such as obesity or eating disorders.
- Experience less stress and depression.
- Have better social skills, character and manners.
Carver County Worksites Participate in Eat. Talk. Connect! Challenge
